True Mei Yuan Featured in a Japanese Trade Paper
The Japanese baking-industry newspaper Pan News published a feature on True Mei Yuan on 5 September 2026, introducing the estate’s growing philosophy, coffee varieties, and its active push into the Japanese market.
The article notes that True Mei Yuan sits in the mountains of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and practices shade-grown cultivation in coexistence with nature, without pesticides or chemical fertilisers, and holds Taiwan’s organic produce certification. The estate currently grows three varieties — Typica, SL34 and Geisha — each with its own aroma, sweetness and acidity, and flavour character.
True Mei Yuan continues to take part in professional coffee trade shows in Japan, returning to CAFERES JAPAN in 2026. Through on-site tasting and conversation, the Japanese market is coming to know the flavour of Taiwanese coffee more closely. The report also notes the estate’s hopes for entering the Japanese market, and its wish to deepen exchange with the Japanese trade.
