Fine coffee is a culture
Grown organically beneath the forest canopy and watered by mineral-rich hot-spring water, this way of farming has become the driving force behind our advocacy for Taiwanese coffee. Despite deep agronomic knowledge and skill, local growers have long been held back by limited visibility in the wider market.
Today, through gentle farming and disciplined organic practice, coffee lovers can finally taste this specialty grown in Taiwan's own mountains — no longer dependent solely on imports, and letting the world discover the organic value and distinct character of Taiwanese coffee.
A coffee dream among the mountains
Deep in the mountains of Baolai, Kaohsiung, True Mei Yuan Coffee Estate began a distinctly Taiwanese coffee journey born of a love for the land. On slopes fed by converging hot springs and rich in minerals, the estate carefully planted fifteen thousand coffee trees — each seedling a gesture of respect for nature and hope for the future.
Season after season, the trees have flourished beneath the forest canopy. The estate holds firm to organic cultivation and refuses chemical fertilizer, letting coffee and forest live in balance and keeping this land pure. That discipline lightens our footprint on the environment, and lets the cherries ripen freely into their own distinctive flavor.
Every cup that leaves True Mei Yuan is a tribute to these mountains. We hope to carry the beauty of nature and the warmth of this place gently to everyone who takes a sip.
